Description : The founding of Ejutla dates back to approximately 524 by the Zapotec chief Maneyadela , remaining independent until the conquest by the Mexica in times of the huey tlatoani Axayácatl , since then it became part of his empire which in turn was subdued from of 1521 by the Spanish, who definitively settled the natives in what is now Ejutla for their submission and evangelization. During the Mexican War of Independence, the priest of Ejutla, Manuel Sabino Crespo , born on January 3, 1778 in Taniche , stood out in the insurgent camp , who joined the forces of José María Morelos and was elected deputy to the Congress of Chilpancingo , that being defeated, he was shot on October 19, 1815.
